BWIT participated in Panel Discussion Technology changing the world of work: opportunities and challenges for women’s economic empowerment – February 2017

BWIT was invited to participate in panel discussion on the theme of Technology changing the world of work: opportunities and challenges for women’s economic   empowerment”. on Sunday, 26 February 2017 at Pan Pacific Sonargaon.  Hon’ble State Minister, MoWCA, Meher Afroze Chumki, MP, was the Chief Guest

  

The key objective of the meeting was to facilitate and support the Government of Bangladesh’s active participation in the 61st Commission on the Status of Women in New York through dialogue between Government and other key stakeholders.  Bangladesh Women in Technology in their presentation highlighted issues of future of work and how technology was reshaping the world of work and suggested recommendations to the Government.   It was intended that the event outcome influence issues of the government, development partners, the private sector, and civil society in shaping up and influencing the Women’s Economic Empowerment agenda in Bangladesh context at the CSW at the UN
